We were greeted with a warm reception. The room was very comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom with big shower. The dining room is lovely and dinner was very good. Breakfast was freshly cooked and nicely presented. There is ample parking space and outdoor area to enjoy a drink outside. It was very good value for money.
We were lucky and had a quiet neighbour in the room next door but the wall was not well soundproofed and could cause a problem. It seems a shame when so much has been spent on the annex and the rooms are of such a high standard.
Overall I would say the hotel was pleasant and clean.
The shower was just about useless (I stayed in Room 7) very little water pressure and took me ages to get washed. I'm unsure if this was the 'executive' room that I booked as it seemed a little on the small side and didn't appear to be anything special that made it 'executive'. I could see other rooms in a more modern part of the hotel which I would probably describe as the 'executive' rooms.
All the basics were fine and the stafff friendly / helpful. Parking is ample and near to the main entrance. Rooms are excellent value for money and both the inclusive breakfast and the a la carte meal the previous evening were of a high standard and well presented with prompt service etc. Only an idiot would not enjoy a stay at this venue
The jacuzzi in the room was very good, but possibly the shower pressure could be improved. Though that is not a complaint, just a prompt.
Efficiency of a large chain without the impersonality. Friendliness of a private hotel without the B&B feel.
Dinner was the best I had been served in the last 5 years.
The owner very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Very good ,restaurant staff.Happy staff. Position for my visit very good being close to business premises I had to visit.Very convenient for Telford area companies.Best in terms of rooms, food and service I have found in the area.
Good sized room,very good staff.
Did not say in the review that it was in on the outskirts of an industrail site.
Location close to Ironbridge and good shopping in Telford
Very welcoming staff, excellent rooms and good food
The freindly and very helpful staff. Very clean and modern well furnished rooms
Large very comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom and enjoyed the jacuzzi. Dining room staff very pleasant.
No lift. No help offered with luggage. The bottom step into the jacuzzi was a hazard because of the sharp corners. The entrance door, the lobby to the reception and reception desk was off-putting initially - it all looked tired and in need of modernising. Did not like the dog wandering about and thought that would be a reason for visitors not to return.
very good business & social hotel, value for money
lack of grounds, to enhance the recreational relaxation areas
Stay was quite pleasant - rooms were clean and a ggood size
A little disappointed with breakfast and bar facilities
Owners and staff were great, friendly and helpful. Even though there was a small wedding going on in the hotel we were still looked after very well and not forgotten. Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We had an evening meal at the hotel and the food was really good and we're really fussy! No complaints at all and we would definitely stay there again.
Owners and their Staff Team deserve an a* -Very friendly and helpful. The restaurant service was excellent and individual dietary requirements were catered for with efficiency & cheerfulness. Room was large and very comfortable. Great location to explore Acton Scott working Farm, Blists Hill and other Ironbridge museums.
Carpet had some stains, everything else very clean.
